This is a really nice deep red flake. We are calling it Bordeaux Flake.
Actually, this is a material that we really wanted to use in the Beaumont when this pen was first launched, but we couldn't get it in large enough quantities back then. I was very happy to get a large shipment of this, and so it's time to add this to the Production Line of Beaumonts!
Being a Production Line Pen, you'll buy this pen from the retailers that carry Edison for $149. The retailers are listed below....

Hi Pen Fans!
The 2013 LE Morgans are finished, packed up, and will be dropped off at the post office tomorrow!
All that participated in this project should have received tracking information by now.
Below is a photo showing the entire project (my apologies for not taking a nicer picture, but in order to get these pens out the door and still give ourselves some prep time for the Chicago Pen Show, we had to move fast!)
The complete gallery is here, or you can watch the slideshow below.
The Fountain Pen Network is currently down, so when it's back up, I'll put more pics within the progress thread.

Hi Pen Fans!
I'm proud to announce that the Edison Pen Co is releasing a Beaumont Pneumatic Filler to the Signature Line.
This is a pretty unique filling system. They were very popular in the 20's and 30's, as well as the 50's and 60's. As long as my pen history is correct, no pen company has made pneumatic fillers on a production scale since then.
Please watch the video below for all details.
Highlights from the video....

04:10 - What is a Pneumatic Filler? How Does it Work?

Please note that the sacs used in these pens are 100% silicone. This is much better than latex, which has been typical in fountain pens from the beginning until now.
From the seller of these sacs: "100% silicone sacs will outlast conventional latex sacs several times over; unaffected by the most reactive inks. Latex sacs can release sulfur compounds as they age, which discolor plastics such as celluloid. To preserve original color, and to stand up to modern inks, 100% silicone is the best choice available"
We have almost 40 of these pens currently inventoried and ready to ship. Please visit the following link to see all Beaumont Pneumatic Fillers that are currently inventoried and ready to ship. Or, of course, you can place a custom order in whatever material you would like.
