New Material to the Production Line Collier! Azure Skies!

Hi Pen Fans!

I am very happy to announce that we have refreshed the Production Line Collier with a new material – Azure Skies!

Many of you will recognize this material, as this was previously used in the Production Line version of the Pearlette. Azure Skies was by far the most popular version of the Pearlette before we discontinued it from the Production Line. We’ve had more than just a few requests to bring back this material, and we’ve made lots of custom pens from this material as many people were disappointed to see it leave the Production Line.

I have always personally felt that maybe this material was not an optimal choice for a smaller pen like the Pearlette. The patterns of pearlization and chatoyance (my favorite word) create pretty large swaths, and sometimes I think that the full potential of a material like this can be lost in a smaller pen design. But a large design like the Collier shows off the amazing pattern and depth much better, in my opinion.

This material is a very nicely saturated blue with some hints of aqua/teal. Those of your who might already own this material in a Pearlette will certainly appreciate the amazing chatoyance that this material displays. So expect these photos to not do the pen total justice, honestly. When you see this pen live and rotate it in the light, you’ll see all of that amazing depth that can’t always be captured accurately in a photo.

So Azure Skies is the new material for the Collier, and this means that Burnished Gold will be discontinued. We still have a handful of Burnished Gold Colliers inventoried and ready to ship to our retailers. Once our retailers are out of stock, the Collier in Burnished Gold will be gone. So if you’ve been on the fence about a Collier in Burnished Gold, now is the time!

So the new lineup of Colliers is as shown in the photo below.

Azure Skies, Rock Candy, Antique Marble, Nighthawk, Persimmon Swirl

All of these Colliers are part of our Production Line, so you will not buy these directly from Edison, but through any of our retailers listed here.

I am personally very excited to add Azure Skies to the Collier lineup! As mentioned, I really think that a material with wide patterns and depth like this is showcased much better on larger pens!

Please reach out with an questions!
