Hi Pen Fans!
It’s been a while since our last limited edition urushi collaborative project with Ernest Shin at Hakumin Urushi, but we are very happy and proud to announce the Limited Edition Maki-e Collier!
Some of you may have already heard, but Ernest at Hakumin Urushi is in the process of restructuring his lacquer business and unfortunately this will be the last collaborative project with the Edison Pen Co. for the foreseeable future. Ernest is also ceasing all new custom orders at this point, although all existing orders will be completed. Going forward, Ernest is hoping to shift his lacquer-work to a different direction, allowing more freedom of expression in his work, although where exactly that will take him, he’s not completely sure. If you have any questions about this or his future work, please feel free to contact him directly via his website.
