Hi Pen Fans.

We had a huge storm come through Ohio last night.  Our power has been out for the last 18 hours.

This means that the new pen that I wanted to announce today might have to wait until we have power back.  Right now, I’m at a coffee shop with really weak WiFi.

So please be patient.  I’ll get this new pen announced as soon as I possibly can.

If I’m slow with emails today, you’ll know why.

Hi Pen Fans!

We are going to be taking a short vacation early next week.  We will be gone until Wednesday night.

So if we’re slow with emails, you’ll know why.  We will return all emails on Thursday the 13th.

In the meantime, keep your ear to the ground…we will be launching a new and pretty unique filling system in the next 3-4 weeks, hopefully!  It’s coming together very nicely, and we’re really excited with this!

Hi Pen Fans!

Just a quick note to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving!

Personally, I’m awfully thankful that I’m able to do what I love for a living!  This is due to our devoted customers!  Thanks to all of you!

If you sent me an email in the last couple of days, I’ll probably get back to you tomorrow.  Otherwise, I’m going to try and stay away from emails this weekend.  If you don’t hear back from me immediately, please allow until Monday of next week.

As a side note – I’ve been working on a new filling system that I’m really happy with!  Something that is rather unique!  Stay tuned!

Hi Pen Fans!

I’m back from my vacation.  We had a lot of fun at Hocking Hills.  We’ll definitely have to go back soon.  If you are interested in my photography, you can see my shots here.

A quick update….

The ebonite for the Platt Rogers Spencer Limited Edition Pen has been ordered.  It is coming from Germany, and sometimes there can be customs delays, so I don’t want to try and give an accurate estimate on when these pens will be done. 

I can say that barring something unforeseen, the pens can be done prior to the Holidays (most likely sooner).  As we get closer to the ebonite’s arrival, and as we start manufacturing, we’ll give accurate timelines and updates.  So if you have one of the Spencer Pens ordered, you can expect to see updates here on my blog.

I have tons of emails to plow through, and I’ll get started on them tomorrow.  So If you are expecting an email response from me, you’ll get it then.

Relaxing today, and then back to work tomorrow!

Hi Pen Fans!

I’m leaving tomorrow for a nice vacation with my Dad and brother.

Some of you might know that I’m an avid photographer.  We’re heading to Hocking Hills, so with the leaves changing, I should be returning with some really nice shots.

If we have WiFi, I’ll try to take a look at emails, but honestly, I’ll probably try to stay away from Edison emails until I return next weekend.

Hi Pen Fans.

Just a quick update to let everyone know that next week, Monday the 23rd through Wednesday the 25th, we’ll be out of the shop on a small vacation.

I’m not sure about my internet access on this little trip, so if I’m slow with emails, you’ll know why.

On a side note, there is one Urushi Mina left.  We had a customer committed to the pen, but then changed their mind.

Hi Pen Fans.

I’m back from my vacation.  Like I said previously…..since starting The Edison Pen Company, I really have never taken a vacation with family where we actually travel, and I actually get away from emails! 

This was my son’s first time flying!  He was so excited, and had a great time all around!

We took a trip to Scottsdale, AZ, and definitely had a nice time.  Some of you know that I enjoy photography.  I’ll attach a photo from Sedona that I’m pretty proud of.

If you would like to see more, I’ve uploaded a lot of photos from the trip to my photography blog.  I haven’t processed every shot from this trip yet, so there will probably be a few more entries from this trip in the next few days if you want to stay tuned.

So I feel fully refreshed!  I really needed some time away.

But back to Edison business…..I’ll be getting through my emails tomorrow, Monday.  So if you are expecting a response from me, you’ll hear from me then.

Some previews of what is to come soon….

1.  We have a new model for the Production Line that should materialize in the next 2-3 weeks, I hope.  I’m very excited about this new pen.

2.  We have a great looking Signature Line "Stealth" pen coming together very nicely that will be a Limited Edition.  There will be a few features on this pen that I’ve never used before, so stay tuned.  I’m waiting on a few special parts to come together, and then we’ll be all set.

Hi Pen Fans!

We will be leaving tomorrow for a much needed vacation.

Since starting the Edison Pen Company, I honestly have never taken a vacation where I actually travel with my family, and actually get away from work!  Most of my vacations have been close to home, and I still never really get away from emails or the computer.

So this time I’m doing it right!  I will not be doing Edison related emails until I return on Monday the 18th.

Hi Pen Fans!

My apologies, as I had plans to get a nice video blog put up prior to the Holidays, but literally, things have been that busy here!

I thought that I could make today a little more relaxing, and render a nice video for this blog, but I literally just finished up everything for the week, and I’m exhausted!  So a non-video blog wil have to do!

So Happy Holidays to everyone on behalf of The Edison Pen Co!  The December special has been a big hit, and at the beginning of January, I’ll have a sizeable check to send off to Susan G. Komen!  Thanks!

I’m going to spend next week doing mostly catch-up work with accounting, taxes, etc, so that I can end the year with all my books in order.  I will try to stay away emails, so if I’m slow in responding, you’ll know why.

And what to expect from Edison in 2012?  Well actually, you can expect to see somewhere around 3-4 new pen models coming in the first couple months, with one happening pretty much as soon as we return in January….so stay tuned!  A lot will happen early in 2012!

Edison updates –
1)  Expect to see a couple new pen models coming to the Signature Line and Production Line hopefully before the end of the year, perhaps early 2012.
2)  I’m thinking of a Holiday Special, so keep your ear to the ground early December. 
3)  The Mina Urushi Project is underway!  Expect to see photo updates very soon.
